a 30 year old monk known in Georgian as ‘Mama Makari’ makes his qvevri wines inside monastery which is located in Bolnisi, a very special place in south east Georgia where wine has been made since the 6th C BC. Promoting this wine will help him to develop more wines and to cultivate more traditional Georgian grape varieties alongside his monastic duties.
